Would you like detailed, ongoing feedback to help improve your screenplay?

A Screenwriters' Workshop Script Group may be just what you're looking for.

Receive in-depth, page-by-page feedback from other screenwriters

Each session you'll receive feedback on your script pages that will help you refine and focus your writing to best present the story you want to tell.

Practice your script analysis skills

You'll increase your ability to spot the strengths and weaknesses of screenplays as you read and offer feedback on other writer's scripts.

Learn how to make your script more marketable

Fellow script group members help you find and correct the mistakes that can cause industry readers and producers to "pass" on a screenplay.

Expand your network of contacts in the screenwriting community

You'll get to know other local screenwriters who can support and encourage you in your writing as well as share valuable information about career opportunities.

Experience the excitement of a live public reading of your screenplay by professional actors

Once your entire script has gone through the
script group process, it is eligible for presentation in the Screenwriters' Workshop ScriptNight.

How does a script group work?

Script groups meet 2 to 4 times each month. At each session, writers bring in 5 pages of the script they're working on, assign parts to the other writers present and listen while the pages are read through.

The other writers then express their feedback about the strengths and weaknesses of the pages, offering suggestions for improvement. The writer listens and takes notes, given opportunity to clarify their intentions or ask questions halfway between the feedback portion.

Script group members are free to members. Visitors are welcome to observe the process.
